I’ve recently been playing around with Google Earth, Trippermap and geotagging. The summary is: Trippermap provides a Google Earth tool that allows me to geotag my Flickr images inside Google Earth. Tripperrmap then displays those images on a map of the world. It is all very fanciful and simple. Thus far I have geotagged most of my travel photos that can be viewed here. I like the way Google Earth tags images. Today I ran across a bookmarklet that will let you geotag images inside Flickr. It will also display the image on a map inside Flickr. This seems to be a stop-gap until Flickr provides geotagging, which seems to right around the corner. I still Like the Google Earth method because I can do many images at once (currently it displays a maximum of 50), and Google Earth still has slightly better satellite images, and substantially better navigation of the globe.
