Where are you?

A relatively new services allows users to constantly broadcast their current location to the world. A simple program called Loki installed on your wifi enabled laptop (or mobile device?) will find the nearest wifi hotspot and use that information to figure out where you are, then with that info you can post it automatically to your Facebook page, or your own blog. You can give details down to a city block, or be more general by only announcing the city, state or country. I think this technology is pretty cool for those times when you are trying to meet up with friends. One friend can announce their location and the other friend can use a mapping site to get directions from their location. I’ve tried the ‘locate me’ feature and it placed a marker within metres of where I am currently located.
