Film lovers work to reinvent and improve the Polaroid film

An interesting story from the New York Times about a group of people who have bought one of the last closed Polaroid film factories, along with the equipment, with a plan to start making the film again for sale to the world. Apparently it is trickier said than done, and if it wasn’t for a timely US Ponzi scheme, they might not have gotten this far.

The iconic house from the classic 1986 film ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ is now for sale for a cool $2.3 million. Crashing a Ferrari through the window is optional.

Computers know how to win

Computers are pretty smart when it comes to computations and math. New Scientist has published an article that talks about nine games that computers have ruined for humanity. On the list are the likes of checkers, chess and Tic-Tac-Toe. Though a slightly misleading headline, as a number of the games listed require human skills such as strategy, it is still an interesting article.
